Before the snow...

Sweet Nov Rain....er... Oct snow?

State College officially broke a record for the earliest recorded snow fall. The record has stood since Oct 18th 1901. Well, on Oct 16th, we woke up to 5 inches of snow on the ground!





Tree branches were down everywhere.... it was so weird to see the snow covering green leaves! The leaves hadn't even fully changed around us yet!

Where did Sept go?

Wow- almost October.... I can't believe that September went by so fast! We waited to take our summer vacation until the second week in September, so the summer seemed quite long for us as we awaited our beach vacation! We went down with our neighbors, the Ohlsons, and mutual family friends, the Lawrences. We had a great house in OBX, great weather, great food and great friends! Now, the only bummer was that Nate had a fever for 3 of the 6 days we were there, but when he was feeling well, he had a blast! He slept in a big boy bed (which he has now upgraded to at home as well) and only got out of bed when he wasn't feeling well. Anyway, I could talk forever, but I know you really want to see some pictures! So without further a-do....

Odds and Ends

So I finally got my pictures downloaded.... not a lot actually... but there are few from Del Grosso amusement park- very fun for the little kiddos- there were rides they could go on themselves! A couple pictures from time with Grammie and Papa with Nana and Pa visiting as well...

Husking corn with Granddad... I've always said "shucking", but Grandma and Granddad insist that it is "husking"....I googled it and it looks like it can go both ways...what's the correct word for taking the husks off corn?
